Best Playoff Match ups?

This 2014/15 NFL season there have been so many good games and some bad games. The post season this year have had some and will have some of the best playoff match ups in my opinion. This Saturday the New England Patriots take on the Baltimore Ravens at 4:30 p.m. A Long with the 8:30 game Seattle vs Panthers. My predictions for both these games is Pats winning against the ravens and Seattle beating Carolina in a tight match up. Everyone is under estimating the Carolina Panthers because over the years they really haven't been that good. But this year they are the underdog who may surprise Seattle. Yes, it will be very hard for them to win considering they are playing at Seattle at Seattle. Cam Newton is going to have alot of trouble finding receivers down field with the unreal Seattle defense. I think if the panthers run plays where the send the receivers deep and spread the defense that will leave room for cam newton to run the ball being the fast, athletic quarterback that he is.

The Match ups for Sunday are The Dallas Cowboys vs The Green Bay Packers, and The Denver Broncos Vs Colts. I think that the first match up Dallas vs Green bay is the best game out of all match ups. Tony Romo is having one of his best season and is a contender of the MVP if he wins this game at Lambo Field. The best part about this match up is Green Bay is undefeated at home and Dallas is undefeated away.  It will be a very cold hard fought battle and the better quarterback will come out on top. The Second match up between the colts and Denver will also be a very good game. Peyton Manning takes on his ex team for the first time in his playoff career. Andrew Luck is also very underestimated in the NFL. He is very good throwing on the run and can make alot of down field passes. He can also sit in the pocket as long as his line allows him to to make a pass or hand the ball off. My predictions are the Patriots will win, Seattle will win, along with Green Bay, and the colts. I think this playoff match ups are the best they have been in awhile.

Johnny who???

This past Sunday quarterback Johnny Manziel was projected to make his first NFL Debue against the Cincinnati Bengals. He brought much hype to the city of Clevland and many more johnny football fans. Many thought that his football skills would rise above his cockiness and help defeat the bengals. I think he got so caught up in all the hype that he forgot to play the game. I've watched Johnny Manziel many times and his preformamce yesterday was poor. He didn't look prepared to start the game or finish the game. His effort throughout the game wasn't  enough  to over come the amazing Cincinnati defense. The bengals defense shut out the Browns 30-0! When Johnny football is the QB no team should ever have a scoreless game against an average defense. Andy Dalton has a good game with 14/24 passing completion, 117 yards passing and 0 interceptions. Johnny Manziel had 10/18 passing completion and 80 yards passing and 5 yards rushing, with 2 interceptions. It is safe to say the Johnny footballs debue didnt go so well. This loss leaves the Browns with a record of 7-7. They need to win out the rest of their games to have a shot at the playoffs. The Browns will take on The Carolina Panthers next weekend at 1 pm. Who knows who will get the start that game. But I have hope that it may be Manziel. I don't think his performance this week has any affect on him as a QB. If he gets the start you better believe that it will be a different QB and a completely different game!

What Is Wrong With The Browns?

The Clevland Browns need to wake up and realize they are wasting great talent. You can say all the S***you want but deep down everyone knows Johnny football is unreal. Noone sees how good he is because hes playing for the wrong team. The browns need to realize johnny manziel can put in work and compete at the NFL level. He just needs his turn to get a start. Ill admit his hes a little immature but hes 21 cmon hes living the life. Personally i think Johnny Manziel should have stayed at Texas A&M for one more year so he copuldve gotten drafted by a better team or at least a team that will play him. His college stats are pretty googd. His heisman trophy freshman year was pretty nice as well. Johnny Manziel might not be your average NFL quarterback ho sits in the pcoket, he scrambles. And it is a proven fact that when a play breaks down or nobody is open #2 can always make it a play. Even if that means rushing 60 yards and breaking a couple ankles.

After the Browns lost this past weekend the Browns were indecisive open who would start in this weeks matchup. The were sources all over that hoyer was out and Manziel was in. But turns out acouple days ago Browns head coach announced Brian Hoyer would get the start. The Browns need to start Johnny Manziel at least one game and see what he can do. Yes the browns started off hot but now they are beginning to die down these past couple weeks. They need to make sure they tough it out these last couple weeks and keep pulling out wins to make it to the playoffs. There is no doubt that the reason for the Browns success this season is because of their defense. There defense has kept them in tough games and some great wins and even some tough losses. Along with josh Gordan, and many any key players. I do think before the playoffs that they will realize who the better qb is and whoever that might be will finish the rest of the 2014/15 season leading the Browns.

Norton's second Year...

As fall sports come to a close winters sports will begin. The norton high hockey team looks to improve on the second year ever as a hockey team for Norton High. We look too improve our record and roster so that we can be able to compete with teams in the TVL in a few years. Last year we lost two seniors, Nate Barrette and Connor Russel. Along with Ryan Kuzmich, and Pat Robles who both went to different high schools to play. They both led that team in scoring and assists last season. This season we strive to do better. We have many new kids trying out this year. The newest member of the team is our very own JML.

This season we continue to look forward and forget about our first season because it was very bad.We are going to work harder each and every day and improve our game so that we can make it to the tournament. To make the tournament we must win 10 games. We need to make sure we capitalize on all of our opportunities. I look forward to this season though because its awesome to play with a group of kids who love to play hockey just as much as me. I enjoy going to practice more than most because i like to improve my game as much as possible. Feel free to come down to a hockey game in foxboro and help support the norton hockey program.

The boys look for TVL championship!

The Norton boys baseball team looks to improve their upcoming 2015 season. Last year we set our goals high because we knew we were a very talented, and hard working team. Would we consider our season a success? Absoulutly not, yes we made it too the playoffs with a 12-6 record but we knew we were a much better team than we showed over the season. Last year we had 5 seniors on the team, alone with many juniors and a couple sophmores. Unfortunetly we lost in our first playoff game against Cardinal spellman 5-4 in a very nail bitting game. Jon levy had a terrible pitching performance and let his team down. Brad wry senior, had to relieve me and help our team continue our journey in the playoffs.

This season we have better hopes and goals set. We're top competitors this year in the TVL along with Westwood. Last year the best teams in the league were Bellingham, Westwood, Norton. This year we look to stay at the top of the TVL and win a state championship. Do my teammates and I think we can do this? Yes I am very confident that we will be contending for a state championship. But I want to take it one game at a time and not get ahead of ourselves. We are very confident because our team in basically all upper classmen and one sophmore. We have our hole returning in field and our hole returning outfield. We lost one pitcher in our 3 man rotation and are looking to fill brads position in the rotation.  All I can say is that baseball isn't that fun to watch but we will have a good team this year so come out a check out a game. And hopefully watch us play In the state championship game.

RE2PECT

Jeter goes down as one of a greatest baseball players too play in the MLB. He has has such an impact on young baseball players from all ages. He hasn't only inspired people as a player on the field, but also off the field. He has held many press conferences, and auto graph signings for fans. Jeter even inspired me to become a better baseball player and work at it every day so I can become a better player. I have watched jeter play basically my whole life and he has truly inspired me. Even though he is a Yankee and I am from Boston I still appreciate a good ball player when I see one. He was always a leader on and off the field, and with that being said I would like to follow by example.

He has had a bunch of amazing stats throughout his many years of playing with the Yankees. He announced his retirement and that the 2014 season would behis last. This brought a lot of sad faces to many people and I'm sure it did to him as well. But people have to remember that he is in his 40s and has playing baseball his entire life. I think he and everyone who is a fan of him should appreciate what he has done for himself, the league, and everyone who loves him. He can happily say he had a very successful life. He got to live his dream of playing professional baseball. And also be one of the greatest players to play the game.

Throughout his final season brought a lot of sadness too the league. Every game that he played in this season consisted of many standing ovasions. This weekend the Yankees will make their final trip too Boston. Everyone knows that the Yankees and soxs are rivals. But the great city of Boston knows a true hero when they see one, rivals or not. In my opinion I think jeter was the best short stop to play baseball. He inspired many kids too work harder to become better. I think his future after baseball will be very bright for him and everyone wishes him the best of luck!

The Boston Bruins are looking to make a come back this 2014-15 season. After an outstanding reagular season last year and ending with the best record the bruins fell short in the second round to the Montreal Canadians in game 7. The bruins we're very dissapointed in their post game performances compaired to the regular season. They have most of their returning team except for a couple players. Chara and his teamates look to work hard this off season and try to bring the cup back to Boston.

The Boston Bruins started their rookie camp on September 14 at Ristuccia Arena, Wilmington, MA) . And the regular pre season camp starts Semtember 21 2014. All the rookies looking to make the Boston bruins went to nashville Tennesse for a game. The bruins end the tournament game with a victory of 4-2, goals scored by Griffith, Pastrnak. Fallstrom, and Ferlin. David Pastrnak was interviewed after making past the first round. "Idk I feel like I'm on the second floor & the NHL is on the 5th floor-so i have 3 more floors to go[smile]"- Pastrnak
