The Norton boys baseball team looks to improve their upcoming 2015 season. Last year we set our goals high because we knew we were a very talented, and hard working team. Would we consider our season a success? Absoulutly not, yes we made it too the playoffs with a 12-6 record but we knew we were a much better team than we showed over the season. Last year we had 5 seniors on the team, alone with many juniors and a couple sophmores. Unfortunetly we lost in our first playoff game against Cardinal spellman 5-4 in a very nail bitting game. Jon levy had a terrible pitching performance and let his team down. Brad wry senior, had to relieve me and help our team continue our journey in the playoffs.
This season we have better hopes and goals set. We're top competitors this year in the TVL along with Westwood. Last year the best teams in the league were Bellingham, Westwood, Norton. This year we look to stay at the top of the TVL and win a state championship. Do my teammates and I think we can do this? Yes I am very confident that we will be contending for a state championship. But I want to take it one game at a time and not get ahead of ourselves. We are very confident because our team in basically all upper classmen and one sophmore. We have our hole returning in field and our hole returning outfield. We lost one pitcher in our 3 man rotation and are looking to fill brads position in the rotation. All I can say is that baseball isn't that fun to watch but we will have a good team this year so come out a check out a game. And hopefully watch us play In the state championship game.
